Even though Margot Robbie is out celebrating “Babylon,” “Barbie” is jealous of her outfit. Robbie, 32, donned a pink Chanel dress designed by Kate Young to the 2023 Golden Globe Awards on January 10, where she is up for best actress in a motion picture.
The made-to-order dress had a halter neckline and a silver brooch near the collarbone. The skirt was made of tulle and had a loose mermaid shape since the bodice had a triangle-shaped motif layered over lace. The outfit’ sophisticated feel and homage to the Old Hollywood era in which “Babylon” is set were added with subtle sequins and feathers.
Robbie’s other recent outfits spurred speculation that her long-term partnership with Chanel was about to an end, but it appears that she still has a soft spot for the heritage label. This soft Barbiecore outfit, in contrast to her backless Alaa gown at the “Babylon” premiere or her dramatic Celine cloak at the “Amsterdam” premiere, is very much in line with the actor’s typical style.
