In April, when Olivia Wilde got legal papers before going on stage for a panel, it was all over the news. Wilde’s ex-husband, Jason Sudeikis, is said to have wanted to “threaten” and shame her in front of other people. Page Six sent Wilde the most recent court record, which said that Sudeikis used “outrageous legal techniques.”
The director of Booksmart said, “It was clear that Jason’s actions were meant to scare me and take me by surprise.” She also said, “He could have served me in a quiet way, but he chose to serve me in the rudest way possible.” Also, Wilde says that her ex-husband was mean to their two kids, Otis, 8, and Daisy, 5, by trying to get private information about them out to the media.
“Jason would embarrass me professionally and put our personal dispute on public display in this way,” Wilde said in the filing. “This is very bad for our children’s best interests.” Jason has made it clear that we won’t be able to settle this for the sake of our children outside of the court system, so Wilde filed a petition for custody in Los Angeles. Wilde was served with court papers about their custody dispute while she was speaking on stage at CinemaCon in front of thousands of people.
At the same time, a source told the magazine, “Olivia was confused when she was given the envelope, and she was even more confused when she opened it. Even though it was embarrassing, she didn’t say anything because she had to think about it for a while.”
