Whitney Heard, Amber Heard’s younger sister, said that the MTV VMAs made a mistake by asking Johnny Depp to show up. Johnny showed up as the Moon Man at the awards ceremony last month, which was a surprise. Johnny went to the award show three months after winning the defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

Whitney showed her support for Amber on Instagram Stories by posting a graphic with the DVMAs hashtag and a picture of an astronaut on the moon, which was a reference to Johnny’s Moon Man performance. “@MTV, you’re awful and obviously desperate,” she wrote as the caption. I really hope that none of the people who call have daughters.”

Johnny Depp showed up as the Moon Man at the 2022 VMAs. He looked like he was floating from the ceiling because his face was digitally put into the helmet of the famous astronaut costume. What do you know, anyway? Johnny said this during his speech: “I needed the work. Johnny later said, “I’m available for birthdays, bar mitzvahs, weddings, funerals, and whatever else you need.”

After dating for a few years, Johnny and Amber got married in 2015 in a small ceremony at their home in Los Angeles. On May 23, 2016, she got an order to keep him away temporarily and filed for a divorce. Amber said that Johnny had hurt her physically when he was drunk or high.

In an opinion piece she wrote for the Washington Post in 2018, Amber said she had been a victim of domestic abuse. Johnny said she had lied about him and sued her for $50 million. Again, she sued him for $100 million. In the short time they were married, from 2015 to 2017, both actors said the other hurt them. In the UK, Johnny had already lost a case against the newspaper The Sun for libel because it had called him a “wife-beater.” Johnny and Amber went to court because Amber said Johnny hurt her physically. In June, Johnny won almost all of his cases. Johnny says that she and the other women were not hit.
