Flightradar24, a website that tracks flights, says that more than 5 million people watched the flight that took the body of Britain’s longest-reigning monarch from Edinburgh to London on Tuesday. This makes it the most watched flight in history.
Flightradar24 says that 4.79 million people watched the flight live on the Internet. On the airline’s YouTube channel, a quarter of a million people also watched the flight.
The company said that more than 6 million people tried to track the flight in the first minute of the live session. According to the company, the number of users also affected how stable the site was.
The previous record was held by the flight that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi took to Taiwan in August of this year.
Flightradar24 says that the flight beat the previous record of 2.2 million, which was set in August by Nancy Pelosi, the speaker of the US House of Representatives, during a controversial trip to Taiwan.
